North American Studies
Master's Program
The North American Studies Master's Program (NAS) combines the disciplines of History, Political Science, and American Studies.
Students of this interdisciplinary, research-oriented, two-year program acquire skills and competencies that enable them to academically analyze the cultural, historical, and socio-political complexities of North America. Interdisciplinarity within this master's program means that students gain knowledge about American historical thinking and politics as well as about U.S. and Canadian history, culture, and literature. In addition, students learn to work academically with the instruments and methods of the three disciplines of Political Science, History, and Cultural Studies.
